An opportunity to join a leading Northwest main contractor, managing National Frameworks business across the UK. You will be involved with various fit out, refurbishment & refresh projects within the retail and public sector. This a client facing role and may assume a key account manager role, experience working in a senior operational role within a fast paced retail/banking framework sector is essential. Reporting into Framework Operations Manager and responsible for first line management of Site Managers

As this is a national role you will be willing to work from alternative offices when needed, and be based on site as and when needed.

Successful candidates will also have:

Valid Driving Licence

Be fully IT literate

Previous line management experience

  5. Overall responsibility of the financial management, planning of your business unit
  6. To encourage, mentor, and coach the site management team



  • Responsible for the operations management of the business unit; planning, programming & phasing of all projects; including decision to bid and front-end activities from tender stage

  • Ensuing the site management team manage the planning and establishment of activities related to site set up; including management of labour resources and materials
  • Managing effective Client/progress meetings with site team and attending meetings where necessary
  • Preparation and production of progress reports and senior management reports as required


  • Provide tailor-made services to assist clients in developing and managing their projects
  • Offer Clients added value to provide quality, start-to-finish delivery
  • Delivering innovative and effective presentations to clients
  • Developing and maintaining a strong network and account management relationships
  • Liaising effectively with design teams and client representatives
  • Continually seeking opportunities to enhance relationships and service provision to clients, both internal and external


  • Effective management of cash flow and cash collection
  • Commercial awareness to manage the financial viability of all projects in liaison with the Commercial Manager; ensuring effective and efficient controls placed on resources (people, vans, plant etc.), cash collection, retention closures, input to tender deliverables and Business Development (getting the right client, workstreams and profitable work).


  • Acting as a first point of contact for the senior operations team to offer support and advice
  • Ensuring the operations management team comply with all Company process and procedures to support the overall success of the business unit/division
  • Build and develop successful and experienced teams through coaching, mentoring, recruitment and development
  • Managing performance, team conflict and communication issues where necessary
  • Management of resources for each project based on experience and competency
  • Delegate work effectively and encourage team ownership and accountability
  • Chairing and managing effective meetings; cascade team meetings, commercial/op meetings, where necessary
  • Applying a leadership style which is in line with the overall culture and values of the business
  • Promote a positive team environment where guidance, support and encouragement is made freely available to commercial teams
  • Support a one-business culture through open and effective communications


  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
  • Ensuring Contracts Managers are monitoring the delivery of the project is in compliance of the Safety Management System (9001 QA/QC processes) and the Environmental system (14001 Environmental system), ensuring the appropriate management systems, work processes and procedures are in place to ensure successful outcome of the contract


  • Compliance with the Employee Handbook, Company processes and procedures
  • Monitoring compliance with management of all company property and plant (vans / IT equipment etc) Ensuring monitoring procedures are in place and senior management conduct checks as required
  • Undertaking learning and development activities to enable improvement in personal performance effectiveness
  • Offering a flexible and pro-active approach to the business, undertaking additional duties that may fall outside of job profile in support of wider business requirements
