Quantity Surveyor

This is a very good opportunity to work as a Quantity Surveyor for an established property maintenance and refurbishment specialist contractor based out of the Preston office

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, processing, and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders
• Assist in the development of the procurement programme
• Prepare and monitor cashflow forecast for designated projects
• Prepare monthly valuation reports
• Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors
• Liaise with contract managers to establish the project specification and requirements
• Attend and contribute to meetings with colleagues and / or customers
• Monitor the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs
• Assist in the control of contract budgets

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Holds current/relevant qualifications
• Must be an experienced Quantity Surveyor
• Social Housing/Planned works experience essential
• Confident IT Skills and proficient in the use of MS office
• Must be flexible in hours of work and travel
• Must hold a current driver's licence

This is a permanent position based in Preston offering a salary of 42k - 45k per annum plus a company vehicle or 5k per year car allowance / pension / 24 days hols & bank holidays
