
This is a very good opportunity to work as a Quantity Surveyor for an established property maintenance and refurbishment specialist contractor based out of the Preston office
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, processing, and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders
- Assist in the development of the procurement programme
- Prepare and monitor cashflow forecast for designated projects
- Prepare monthly valuation reports
- Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors
- Liaise with contract managers to establish the project specification and requirements
- Attend and contribute to meetings with colleagues and / or customers
- Monitor the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs
- Assist in the control of contract budgets
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Holds current/relevant qualifications
- Must be an experienced Quantity Surveyor
- Social Housing/Planned works experience essential
- Confident IT Skills and proficient in the use of MS office
- Must be flexible in hours of work and travel
- Must hold a current driver's licence
This is a permanent position based in Preston offering a salary of 42k - 45k per annum plus a company vehicle or 5k per year car allowance / pension / 24 days hols & bank holidays
