Our client is looking for a confident, self-motivated M&E Engineer with a 'can do' attitude to join their expanding team at their location in Plymouth. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody looking for stability and progression, having the chance to develop within a large successful Facilities Management Company.

Role:

  • Carry out assigned PPM in accordance with (IAW) lead references, legislation, and contract compliance.
  • Carry out inspection, maintenance, test, and repair (as appropriate) of Mechanical & Electrical Systems. Such as, but not limited to, fixed electrical installations and appliances, lighting systems (high and low level), Air Handling Plant and Space Air Conditioning, Hot & Cold-water systems.
  • Inclusive of electrical and mechanical fault finding to provide successful delivery of building services maintenance sitewide.
  • Functional responsibility for day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Team & Sub Contractors, ensuring all are complying with all relevant statutory and non-statutory legislation/guidance and site-specific health and safety and welfare policies.
  • Maintenance of records in line with company procedures and maintenance of records library including maintenance of Integrated Management System. (Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental obligations).
  • To provide instruction and to coach/mentor and guide other craftsmen and apprentices on maintenance and technical aspects of plant and equipment, as required.

Person:

  • To be able to assist with all aspects of Health and Safety compliance, assist and undertake, as required, the preparation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Ideally have experience within a Facilities Management Company.
  • Knowledge of PPM Maintenance systems (SFG20)
  • 17th or 18th edition
