Outstanding opportunity to join a global leader in the FM sector and fulfil the role of Hard Service Manager at their world class client's site in Manchester. You will be responsible for maintaining the efficiencies of the BMS, engaging with sub-contractors, managing a budget, and ensuring excellent relationships are established with the client. As a member of the management team, you will also play a strategic and developmental role in controlling the profitability of the Account and will identify opportunities for growth.

Location: Manchester

Salary: £45,000-£50,000

The Role:

  • Ensure the contract is delivered to agreed budgetary parameters and manage monthly financial commitment.
  • Delivery of hard services including 'front line' repair and establishment of reactive M&E requirements
  • Ensure that all works are undertaken by the most cost-effective manner using either self-delivery or suppliers
  • Completing self-monitoring audits.
  • Quality and performance management of all services including monthly performance reporting, both internally and externally.
  • Maintain Hard FM management systems for site-based operations to ensure that jobs are appropriately logged and reported.
  • Assisting with resourcing and managing project works including equipment upgrades and building and M&E asset replacements.
  • Ensure engineers training is up to date.

The successful candidate:

  • Qualified at Degree level in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Building Services
  • ONC / HNC Electrical / mechanical qualification or equivalent
  • Demonstrated previous experience of management of hard services / Technical Services Contracts.
  • Have experience in coaching and influence teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with a strong bias towards P&L financial management.
  • Experience of working to ISO 9001 quality system.
  • Hold a driving Licence
