Our client is one of the UK's largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors, and their portfolio of services ranges from M&E building services, Instrumentation, Rail, Street Lighting, Facilities Management to HV & LV & Combined Heat and Power solutions.

Great opportunity for a fully qualified Electrical Engineer to join our Large Projects division have secured a multi- million pound contract to deliver M,E+P services for a HVDC Project in Shetland.

We are looking for experienced Electrical Engineer to be part of the delivery team on all Pre-Construction, Construction and Commissioning activities.

You will have responsibility for the planning, programming, procurement, and delivery of this high-profile project. You'll be capable of delivering the Electrical work scope whilst working closely with our Project Manager, Engineers and Supervisors and various sub-contractors.

Additional responsibilities will include managing internal and contractor resource, financial reporting, process management, compliance with QA/QC systems and escalation management to appropriate standards.

General Requirements:

  • Electrical qualifications
  • You'll have significant experience of delivering Electrical projects from £1.5m and above in an Electrical contracting environment.
  • Ideally have an HNC qualification or equivalent in an electrical discipline, although this is not essential if relevant experience can be demonstrated.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
  • SMSTS or equivalent is desirable but not essential as training can be undertaken.
  • project management and communication skills.
  • Be able to work in a team environment managing direct and indirect labour.
  • Able to apply financial and budgetary controls to maximise profit returns on this Project.
  • Full UK Driving License

The position would be perfectly suited to a fully qualified Electrician in Scotland with a full UK driving license as it is vital for this role as well as a passion for safety.

This will start as a contract role which could lead to perm.
