Site Manager Re-furbishments
The project runs from the beginning of March 2021 and is likely to last for a 6 month period. The position can be filled almost immediately if the right candidate is put forward as there are currently survey works taking place on the site. We potentially have a permanent position available for the right candidate so this could become a full time position as we have other project opportunities in the Bristol and Bath areas later in 2021 and beyond.
Due to the refurbishment and live court environment, the working hours will be at night with a minimum of 5-night shifts per week needed. Exact shift patterns are still to be confirmed once the full scope and working arrangements are agreed with the client.
The works involve large scale replacement of M&E plant, electrical services, chillers and all of the associated builders works, fire stopping and making good works including partitioning, drylining, carpentry, structural masonry, and decoration.
The suitable candidate will need to be able to liaise with various key stakeholders within the court, managing multiple trades working in several locations and ensure the works are conducted to a high standard, safely, and all areas kept to the highest standards of tidiness and cleanliness ensuring the live court areas are returned for the following day's proceedings.
Previous experience of working on refurbishment projects will be essential and ideally the candidate will have previous experience working in a security sensitive environment either in MoJ or MoD facilities.
The candidate will report to the regional contracts manager and will be expected to provide accurate daily site information, update target programmes, complete quality assurance forms and ensure the works information and specifications are followed. The candidate will need to assist planning the works alongside the various sub-contractors and review method statements and risk assessments prior to the works taking place.
