Carbon60 are recruiting for a number of Pipe Fitters to work for a large engineering company that provide pumps, compressors, turbines, and generators.

This Pipe Fitter is on a temporary basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate is someone who is apprenticeship trained (or a relevant qualification) and has an understanding of pipe fabrication within a related industry.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture of pipework in accordance with the relevant isometric drawings
  • Segregation and recording of materials for quality traceability.
  • Fitting and dismantling of piping systems
  • Fabrication of pipework bracketing
  • Instrument tubing manufacture and assembly.
  • TIG welding to ASME IX in various materials.

Skills and Experience required:

  • To be an apprentice trained in mechanical or plant engineering, relevant pipe fabrication within a related industry, knowledge of health and safety and general IT skills.
  • An enthusiastic approach with a keen eye on continuous improvement and innovation to maintain our demanding schedules.

Both day and night shifts can be considered, the working hours are:

Day shift: 7am-3:30pm finish at 12pm on Friday

Night shift: 9:15pm - 7:15am. Monday to Thursday
