Meet the Team

Having been in the Recruitment Industry since 1996, when he started his career as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant running a Driving desk, Paul has over 25 years’ experience working in 360 environments, with key accounts and in a variety of management roles, from Regional Manager to Full Operational Manager.

After a brief period away from the Impellam Group, Paul returned in 2015 to take on the role of Managing Director at Carbon60, overseeing our market-leading, specialist recruitment services.

In a career spanning almost 25 years so far, Huw has worked his way through the ranks in various roles in the recruitment industry, leading him to take responsibility for Built Environment at Carbon60 in 2021.

Since then, Huw has played a key part in defining our specialisms across the network and fostered a collaborative culture where clients can draw upon the very best support, market knowledge and solutions throughout their operation. He and his dedicated team provide services for Professional & Technical, Energy & Renewables, FM, Mechanical & Electrical, Heavy Industrial Services and Trade recruitment.

 

Since beginning his career in 1998 as a Resourcer for a small independent technical recruitment agency, Andrew has worked and grown in several key roles, from regional sales to branch, and then account, and even gained valuable experience as a business owner. 

Andrew joined us at Carbon60 in 2013 and was soon promoted to Head of Key Accounts, Client Solutions and Sales, taking on the challenge of a strategic decision to bring these 3 workstreams together to maximise the opportunities we have with our clients at each stage in their journey.

As Senior Finance Business Partner, Terry’s role is to provide financial support, controls, and insight to stakeholders across the business, helping them to make key decisions and build and nurture positive relationships internally, and with our external clients. 

He has worked at Impellam for two decades so far, supporting various brands across the group, and has been a key part of developing the various solutions and service offerings we can provide to clients, to meet each of their specific requirements.

 

One of Carbon60’s longest-serving team members, Nick joined Scom – as the company was then known – as an IT recruiter at our Aylesbury office in April 1998. After 10 years in that role, Nick joined the Defence Division as an Account Manager for the UK MOD. 

In 2014 Nick was promoted to Operations division, a role he still enjoys and thrives in today, overseeing our delivery of Statement of Work, Recruitment Managed Services and Vetting.

James has enjoyed a long, successful career in Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment – an industry he has a passion and love for – since 1999.

He joined Carbon60 in 2011 as Permanent Recruitment Manager and has held various senior roles since. Now the Operations Director for our Engineering division, James heads up a fantastic team whose work has seen them win a variety of awards in recent years, including Manager of the Year 2019, Team of the Year 2018, Highest Perm Biller 2018, 2019 & 2020, Apprentice of the Year 2019.

 

Having gained over 10 years of Marketing experience in other industries, Ridaa joined the world of recruitment in 2020 as Marketing Manager for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.

Ridaa embarked on her exciting journey with Impellam in August 2022, joining us as a Marketing Manager. Now Head of Marketing, she – with the help of a great team of people – takes care of all things Marketing for all our STEM brands, including marketing strategy, planning, development, and execution across many channels with a great focus on socials.

With over 15 years Sales & Support experience, Holly entered the recruitment industry with Carbon60 in 2020 and started her journey as Senior Team Administrator, quickly promoted to Operations Support Executive & today supports the Impellam STEM brands as STEM EA to the MDs and their senior leadership teams.

Holly’s responsibilities cover projects, operations, onboarding, event management and office management across the STEM portfolios.

Holly’s passionate about supporting our people and business through continuous improvement and helping to drive change within our brands.

 

In her role as HR Business Partner, Emma plays a key part in shaping the future of Carbon60. Taking the lead on our People Agenda, she is at the heart of building capability, and planning and managing our talent and development approaches with a goal of achieving shared organisational objectives. 

Since achieving MCIPD status, Emma has worked in HR roles – including positions for a variety of companies across the insurance and retail sectors – for over two decades and has already held HR Business Partner roles for over half her career. 

A member of the Impellam team since June 2022, Emma supports all our group’s STEM Brands, working closely with the Managing Directors and Senior Leadership teams of SRG and Lorien in addition to Carbon60.

Previously a specialist healthcare recruiter for one of the UK’s leading private healthcare providers, Ioana’s career journey changed direction during the Covid pandemic, leading her to join the Impellam group via our Healthcare specialist brand, Medacs. 

Stepping into a more corporate-focused space in 2021, Ioana took on the role of STEM portfolio Recruitment Partner, working closely with Carbon60. Promoted to Talent Acquisition Consultant in 2023, she now oversees all corporate functions and is dedicated to finding exceptional people and providing a great candidate experience overall.
