Site Director - Life Sciences Our client is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables and food & beverage markets. The responsibility of the Site Director is to lead the transition and development period of the contract start up, leading governance, commercials, client liaison activities and team set up, to ensure successful contract delivery. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the transition period at contract start, ensure all contractual obligations are met, scope is understood and any handover of in flight projects is successfully completed
  • Lead the Safety, Health & Environmental protection are given the highest priority throughout the project and KPIs are met
  • Lead the various project scope and workstreams are delivered to time, cost and quality
  • Lead audit processes
  • Lead quality assurance activities are completed
  • Appoint competent persons in all key project roles for the execution phase
  • Lead the provision of appropriate resources and expertise to successfully deliver the project post sanction
  • Lead a culture that is focused on teamwork and collective ownership and collaborative working for delivery of the project success criteria and KPIs as per the agreed framework
  • Lead, identify and evaluate all technical, commercial and business risks and ensure they are understood by the project team and communicate any relevant risks to the client
  • Develop and lead appropriate execution strategy, methodology and approach
  • Develop and lead an appropriate contract & purchasing strategy with the agreed and approved vendors
  • Develop and lead the Project Quality and Execution plan.
  • Development of a good and services ordering strategy
  • Lead the engagement and management of key stakeholders in the clients business to enable delivery
  • Oversee the control of the project expenditure and programme within the sanctioned budget
  • Manage Handover and the closure of the various projects in conjunction of the Project Management Team
  • Lead the internal and external meeting cadence
  • Lead on governance of the project delivery
  • Lead the management of Risks, Issues and Dependencies across the portfolio of projects
  • Experience of programmes and projects on an operational client site
  • Experience of sub contract arrangements
