Quality Assurance Engineer - Software QA Engineer (permanent or contract)Positions would be based in either Cheltenham or New Malden

Will be working on systems that are used in the production of submarines and ships that will be commissioned in the future. An exciting project to work on

Travel to site - Inspections onboarding new suppliers 2 times a month for 2 days each and in New Malden 1/2 day per week. Hybrid working is available

Main duties include:* A broad ranging role. They can have experience working with electrical, hardware and software development as they will working across these three practices.* A good candidate will have a nice blend of skills from these three backgrounds. Don't necessarily need to have all three but it's important they have had at least some exposure and willing to take on challenges within each.* They will need experience with systems but with an understanding of software such as V model and working with agile.* The role can be described in essence as a senior quality assurance engineer but are an extremely pivotal position as a lot of the work has strong implications around security.* The team they will be joining sits separately from the different sectors that they will be analysing so to separate any bias from the teams that might have project deadlines.* MA engineers needed for submarines the most* However, MA engineers also needed for C&I and aerospace.

Career progression opportunities:Some candidates join as an MA to go into a role that has a broad range and can then decide which sector they would like to join within the company so naturally they can progress laterally into a sector of their choice.Other candidates are truly passionate about MA and quality assurance and will see themselves progressing within this role in the form of promotions and salary increases.
