Field Service Engineer

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a Field Service Technician for a well-known UK engineering company who specialise in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of penstock valves. Based in Portsmouth this Field Service Technician will work covering the South/ Southeast (Portsmouth, Brighton, and SE London etc).

This Field Service Technician role is a permanent position and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate is someone who will be mechanically qualified to City & Guilds/ NVQ Level 3 and have a full, valid driving licence.

Role Responsibilities will include:

• Analytical survey of control equipment, both mechanical and physical. Penstocks, Valves & Actuators.

• Carry out both planned and reactive service visits as scheduled in a timely manner.

• Examine and report any defects with regards to the valves, actuators, and pipework and report any abnormalities.

• Isolate, dismantle and inspect valve / actuator parts, including moving parts and lubricants.

Skills and Experience required:

• Essential - Minimum Mechanically qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or industry equivalent.
• Preferable - Knowledge of Actuators, Valves, associated equipment.
• Full driving licence
