Role: Maintenance Technician (South East, Kent)Our client is the market leader within the Landfill Gas and Powergen Renewable Energy sectors with aims to actively develop and invest it's operations to grow and deliver exciting opportunities in the energy space such as wind and solar power.We have a strong national base of operations, with sites spread across the UK, all smartly and remotely optimised by a state-of-the-art control centre with a clear strategy to continue to deploy new technologies as a market leader.We have an exciting new position for a Maintenance Technician to join our Powergen Maintenance team based in the South-East from a base site in Maidstone / Sevenoaks, Kent.As a Maintenance Technician, you will be required to carry out routine and non-routine maintenance on Powergen equipment and associated activities as directed by the regional planner or Central Control Room. This will include, but not limited to, engine overhauls, servicing, tuning, oil changes, and contractor control and their setting to work.The ideal Maintenance Operations Technician will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
Ensuring that assigned works are carried out within agreed cost, time, and quality parameters, you will maintain accurate records and work in accordance with company policies and procedures and make sure that key equipment is operated within the limits of the site Environmental Permit.As part of the role, you will liaise with the site management in delivering environmental and Health and Safety compliance, with a responsibility for site housekeeping, general maintenance, and routine tasks and checks.This is a hands-on role working to complete all planned maintenance and operation and of the Powergen assets as directed to the standard set and agreed by the engineering and maintenance team. You will at times act as best available person (BAP) as directed for unplanned maintenance/breakdowns of all Powergen Assets, including spark and compression ignition internal combustion engines, gas turbines, PV, LFG flares/gas plants, compressors, and all electrical and mechanical ancillary equipment.We welcome applications from candidates with ex Marine, Royal Navy Engineering backgrounds or from HGV / PSV Vehicle Mechanics. Whats on Offer? An excellent base salary package between £33.6k - £37.8k basic depending on experience for 45 hours per week Mon - Fri.
