Hardware Design EngineerOur client are a leading UK automation solutions provider and systems integrator. They have proven experience and application knowledge in industries including, but not limited to, metals, marine, automotive, plastics, paper, transportation, materials handling and general manufacturing.They are looking to hire a Hardware Design Engineer with EPLAN experience for their team based in Telford, Shropshire. As a Hardware Design Engineer you will be responsible for the detailed design of electrical control systems.Key Responsibilities

• Electrical site surveys.
• Single line diagrams for power, control, networking, and communications.
• Electrical schematics, cable schedules, and control / drive panel general arrangements.
• Manufacturing and installation documentation.
• As-built, as-tested, as-installed, and as-commissioned documentation.
• Maintenance of the Technical Construction File where relevant to detailed electrical design.
• Calculations to support sizing and selection (power, short circuit, voltage drop, heat dissipation, etc.)
• Select and procure equipment / components in line with client specification and internal preference.
• Support Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning activities.
• Comply with relevant industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Minimum of HND / Foundation Degree / Level 5 Apprenticeship in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
• EPLAN experience
• Good understanding of electrical control systems
