The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the automotive and food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes electrical, process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the automotive and food industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a trainee network engineer to join the Automotive Services division, supporting data comms installation projects across the UK.

Duties

As a conscientious and enthusiastic trainee network engineer based in the company's regional office in Castle Bromwich, you will be working on site at various manufacturing facilities across the UK. Primary responsibilities will be assisting network engineers to install and commission structured cabling systems for information and communication networks. Typically working with fibre optics, data and voice datacomms within industrial and commercial buildings and structures. Other duties will include assisting with the repair and maintenance of similar technology systems as required and instructed by the project team.

About You

Based ideally near Coventry CV6 3GG, Solihull B91 2DJ or Halesowen B63 3NA so you can travel to site with one of the existing team.

Demonstrable experience of data comms or commercial electrical installations is essential for this role as the company will be investing in your ongoing training and development. You will also need to be comfortable working at heights.

Minimum City and Guilds Level 1 Electrical installation or similar is preferred.

Full UK driving licence is essential.
