Metallics Manufacturing Engineer

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for Metallic's Manufacturing Engineers to work on a 6-month contract based in the Southampton Area. Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of internal manufacturing processes. The position will also provide support to all other functions within the business to ensure the ME team achieve required deliverable's whilst meeting all safety, regulatory and cost requirements. Essential Responsibilities · Manage own performance against agreed goals and objectives, accountable for quality, on time delivery and budget · Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation · Shop floor technical support of physical assembly operations · Generation of defect and or concession documents as issues arise · Military & Civil specifications to review
Qualifications/Requirements · Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail · Highly effective problem-solving skills · Strong oral and written communication skills · Working knowledge of composite manufacturing engineering processes and methodologies · Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Desired Characteristics · In-depth knowledge of composite and/or assembly manufacturing processes · Positive approach to challenging situations
