Handy person - Facilities, Building Fabric Maintenance

Permanent position. Monday - Friday 7.30 am to 4.30pm.
The company is a leading UK engineering business specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the manufacturing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, facilities management along with a variety of other engineering services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a handy person - facilities, building fabric maintenance operative to join the company supporting a high-profile project in Southall.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced construction handy person - facilities, building fabric maintenance operative, you will be working on site across three production facilities in Southall. Primary responsibility will be to work within the hard services facilities team carrying out building fabric maintenance works inside and outside the factory. Specific duties will include carpentry - replacing locks and hanging internal doors, basic plumbing, painting, plaster patching, changing ceiling tiles, removing rubbish along with other general works as necessary and as required to maintain the integrity of the building. Other general works may include floor repairs, concrete yard repairs, building furniture, fence repairs and roof repairs.
About You
Based ideally in Southall you will need to live within a 1 hour commute of UB2 4NA.
Ideally having a construction trade, you will have demonstrable experience within a construction or facilities management environment, with a strong construction background.
CSCS preferred but not essential.
Mobile elevated work platform - MEWP certificate is preferred but is not essential, however you must be confident working at heights.
