Impellam Group is an accredited apprenticeship partner, so we are regularly inspected by Ofsted to ensure the quality of our training.
Carbon60, who drive apprenticeships as part of Impellam Group, is proud to announce that we have recently passed our first monitoring visit from Ofsted with flying colours.
What is a monitoring visit?
Every directly-funded training provider will receive a Monitoring Visit within the first 2/3 years to ensure that they quality of the training delivered meets the national expected standard.
These visits look at three key areas:
- Leadership and management of the apprenticeship programme.
- Quality of training.
- Effective safeguarding measures.
Each of these areas are individually scored on a three-part scale. This measures the 'progress' we are making to give the best possible learning outcomes to everyone enrolled on our apprenticeships.
Our results
We are thrilled to have achieved the top score in each of these areas which recognises the significant progress that directly delivers a 'beneficial impact on learners'.
This recognises the hard work and commitment we put into everyone you have chosen to enrol with us, to give us the best possible learning outcomes to empower these learners to build better businesses.

Richard George, Director of Curriculum at Impellam, says:
"We are extremely pleased and proud of our most recent Ofsted monitoring visit report, it is a testament to our incredible learners and strong partnerships that we have built within our provision.
It also provides transparent and in-depth recognition of the dedicated learner-centred colleagues who we have driving all aspects of our on-boarding and delivery."
Second-year Aircraft Mechanic apprentice, Joel Greene, was offered a job with a leading British airline after the collapse of their previous employer. Carbon60 partnered with our client in order for Joel to pick up his apprenticeship where he left off. He said:
"The Carbon60 team are incredibly professional and approachable in everything they do. Communication is excellent, they are always happy to speak, even outside of work hours when required.
I am really thankful that having lost my job when my previous company ceased trading, I was able to find a job so quickly and continue to work on my apprenticeship. Carbon60 continuously stretch and challenge me in order for me to excel in the role through the training they deliver"
Congratulations to all of our learners, employers and stakeholders who have achieved this high-level recognition at this stage of our journey together as your trusted apprenticeship partner.
Although apprenticeships are not new in the world of education, there's still a lot of uncertainty around who can do them, what benefit they have and how they work.
