Rate: €Negotiable (Daily Rate) + Reimbursable Expenses
Clearance Requirements: Background Checks & Valid Right to Work in Portugal


Role Overview:


We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to support the construction of a 50MWp Solar PV Plant in Portugal. The role involves overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) compliance across all civil, electrical, and mechanical activities, ensuring alignment with Portuguese legislation and industry best practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • HS&E Coordination:
    • Assist the Owner in preparing, updating, and submitting the prior notice.
    • Advise the Owner on their legal responsibilities under applicable Portuguese legislation.

  • HS&E Plan Oversight:
    • Review and monitor the EPC contractor's HS&E plan development and implementation.
    • Ensure alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Safety Inspections:
    • Conduct regular safety inspections in conjunction with general site inspections.
    • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.

  • Environmental Compliance:
    • Verify adherence to Environmental Incidences Statement (Incl) measures, including the landscape integration plan.
    • Participate in environmental audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in HS&E coordination within large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Portuguese health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in Portugal and pass background checks.

Additional Information:

  • Travel, accommodation, and other expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Portuguese law, subject to pre-approval.
  • This is a site-based role requiring regular presence at project locations in Trancoso and Sernancelhe.
