About the Role

As the Senior Authorised Person, you will be responsible for a wide range of essential duties, including:

• Planning outages and producing switching programmes, liaising with System Control
• Making dead, isolating, and earthing high voltage electrical networks
• Identifying and releasing apparatus for work, issuing Safety Documents and Permits to Work
• Carrying out high voltage testing and fault location
• Managing and supervising Jointer and Fitter teams
• Providing technical expertise and support to the wider team

Work type: Contingent Worker
Job Title: Senior Authorised Person
Base Location: Central belt of Scotland
Hourly Rate: From £22.58 - £40.83 per hour, depending on authorisation levels and experience, via PAYE or CIS
Working Pattern: Temporary Role | Full Time | 37.5 hours per week | 3 months contract plus possible extension

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for this Senior Authorised Person role will possess:

• Authorisation to conduct switching operations from LV to 11kV, with 33kV being advantageous
• Excellent attitude towards safety and operational excellence
• Technical knowledge of DNO switchgear and associated plant
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead a team
• Knowledge of current regulations, standards, and codes of practice
