Exciting Opportunity: Senior Authorised Person (up to 132kV) - Southwest area
Are you an experienced electrical professional seeking a new challenge? My client is searching for a talented Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join their team and play a vital role in delivering advanced electrical and mechanical engineering projects.

About the Role
As the Senior Authorised Person (SAP), you will be responsible for a range of critical duties, including:

• Conducting LV & HV/EHV switching, isolation, earthing, and issuing safety documentation
• Controlling and monitoring electrical construction and fault restoration work on HV/LV networks up to 132kV
• Planning outages, producing switching programmes, and liaising with system/local control
• Leading and promoting a positive safety culture, developing SHE plans, and ensuring compliance
• Providing full project management for smaller/non-complex projects, including client liaison and financial management
• Mentoring trainee SAPs and overseeing HV operations training

Job Title: Senior Authorised Person (up to 132kV)
Base Location: Bristol or Swansea
Hourly rate: From £22.58 to £37.49, depending on experience, for a 37-hour week, via PAYE or CIS for a 3 month contract with possible extension
Regular additional payments for call out rota cover and overtime rates for all works out of normal working hours.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this Senior Authorised Person (SAP) role, you will need:

• Authorisation to conduct switching operations up to 132kV
• A current DNO or equivalent Certificate of Authorisation
• Excellent technical knowledge of DNO switch gear and associated plant
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to lead a team
• In-depth understanding of current regulations, standards, and codes of practice
• A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
