Process Engineer (Electrical)

High Wycombe | Permanent Role | Up to £55,000 DOE
(Junior Engineers considered at circa £35,000 DOE)


Are you an experienced Electrical Process Engineer looking to make a real impact in the water treatment sector? Or a recent Electrical Engineering Graduate with a passion for Control Systems an Instrumentation?

Carbon60 recruiting for a forward-thinking engineering solutions provider seeking a talented individual to join their High Wycombe-based team.


What You'll Be Doing

Design: Read, Design and Draw various Schematics and Diagrams such as P&IDs, PFDs, Electrical Schematics, Wiring Diagrams and Instrument Loop Diagrams with strong focus on control system implementation

System, Equipment and Instrumentation Optimisation: Ensure water treatment system and electrical instrumentation are running efficiently and cost effectively.

​​​​​​​Project Support: Collaborate across various departments to meet project requirements, as well as offering field support for pilot trials, installation and commissioning works

Troubleshooting & Compliance: Ensure manufactured systems are safe and operational carrying out various testing and studies including FATs, HAZOP, SIL.


What You'll Bring

  • Proficiency in CAD for electrical, instrumentation, and piping diagrams.
  • Strong knowledge of control panel design/implementation and instrumentation selection (sensors, analysers, valves, etc.).
  • Understanding of health & safety and quality standards, with familiarity in risk assessment techniques.

Desirable Extras

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in water/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Familiarity with project management software and procurement processes.
