Our client is a specialist manufacturer of inflatable rescue, recovery and survival equipment. They are looking to hire a Sewing Machinist to join their production team. This role involves operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture and assemble various textiles used in their products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch various textiles.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, patterns, and work instructions.
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials for sewing using templates and hand tools.
• Assemble textile components with precision, ensuring alignment and seam integrity.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain sewing equipment and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with production and design teams to resolve fabrication challenges.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial sewing machinist
• Skilled in handling a variety of textiles and understanding their properties.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Familiarity with health and safety practices in a production environment.
