Senior Technical Lifecycle Manager - £500/day (Umbrella) - Contract Opportunity

Are you an experienced engineering professional with a passion for asset management and lifecycle planning? We are seeking a Senior Technical Lifecycle Manager to lead strategic lifecycle and asset management activities across a complex portfolio.

This is a contract role offering £500 per day (umbrella), ideal for a seasoned expert looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and commercially driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead lifecycle fund planning and asset management across multiple sites.
  • Audit and justify lifecycle spend in line with contractual compliance and risk management.
  • Review Draw Down Requests and ensure correct contractual processes are followed.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-led decision making and benchmarking.
  • Develop lifecycle policies, procedures, and estimation guidance for operational teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise CaFM systems for lifecycle management.
  • Produce strategic reports and dashboards to inform decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor and manage lifecycle budgets, including annual and five-year plans.
  • Promote a performance-driven culture through stakeholder engagement and process improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Degree-qualified in an engineering discipline.
  • Chartered or professionally affiliated (or able to achieve this within 12 months).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in lifecycle and asset management.
  • Strong understanding of PFI environments (e.g. healthcare, education, government).
  • Expertise in mechanical and electrical systems within critical infrastructure.
  • Commercial and financial acumen, with proven budgetary control experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

📍 Location: Flexible in the North East of England, with travel to operational sites in the North East as required
