Functional Safety Engineer
Our client is an innovative company in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, specializing in modular and scalable EV platforms designed for a wide range of applications. They are seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to join their System Architecture team, focusing on the concept and implementation aspects of the ISO 26262 standard (Parts 3 to 6).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional safety analyses in accordance with ISO 26262.
- Identify safety gaps, propose improvements, and define safety requirements.
- Collaborate with design and control engineering teams to review system and software designs.
- Ensure safety requirements are complete, consistent, and correctly implemented.
- Support ISO 26262 process implementation and maintenance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Assist testing teams in deriving safety-related test cases and preparing documentation for software validation, integration, and unit testing.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Safety Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 26262.
- Experience with requirements generation and management systems.
- Certified Level 2 Safety Reviewer.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and cross-functional collaboration ability.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in software development, including:
- Software requirement specification
- Architecture specification
- Low-level design specification
- Relevant testing
- Deep understanding of ISO 26262 Part 6 and ASIL-related software development.
- Experience with by-wire systems.
- Background as a Control Engineer.
