Interim Communications Lead

Carbon60 are currently looking for a Communications Lead based in Broughton. This role is for an esteemed client of ours who are leading in the Aviation, Space and Defence sectors. This role is Broughton based but you may be required to travel to Northern Ireland occasionally. This is a 6 month contract, with both PAYE and Umbrella hourly rates available.

As the Interim Communications Lead, you will be responsible for aligning the local communications approach with the company's broader UK strategy. This involves creating and delivering key messaging, developing internal communications tools and channels, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Communications Lead:

- Supports the creation of interim and long-term internal communications materials to facilitate the on boarding of new colleagues
- Collaborates with the project team to define and deliver consistent messaging during the transition phase
- Interacts with the wider UK and global communications team to manage external communications and public affairs
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the company's structure, products, and the Airbus environment in the UK
- Leverages your expertise in change management communications to navigate the M&A environment

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Established experience in internal, external, and community relations communications
- Familiarity with the company's operating environment in Northern Ireland
- Excellent writing and content creation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
- Strong strategic thinking coupled with the agility to implement quickly
- Proven event management capabilities and an understanding of local UK media
