Role: Project Engineer (Freelance Contract - Freiberufler)
Location: Schweinfurt area, Northern Germany (site-based)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Open-ended ongoing contract
Rates: €550-€600 per day (DOE)
Working Week: Monday-Friday
Eligibility: Full DE/EU working rights required

Overview:
We're seeking a Project Engineer with proven Oil & Gas sector experience to lead on-site construction activities for a major industrial project in Northern Germany. You'll ensure contractors execute tasks safely, efficiently, and in line with project objectives, while driving HSSE excellence and optimizing site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all site-based construction activities
• Champion safety culture and compliance
• Manage contractor performance and coordination
• Support project planning and execution methodology
• Oversee permitting, readiness, and technical interfaces
• Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency

Required Experience:

• 10-15 years in EPC construction supervision with a minimum of 5 years in Oil & Gas
• Accredited trades qualification or engineering degree
• Strong HSSE knowledge and leadership skills
• Business levels in German and English (spoken and written)
