About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our client's pre-construction and tendering team. This is a key role in supporting ambitious growth plans and will involve pricing and preparing tenders for a range of engineering projects, with a strong focus on renewable energy and wind farm developments.
You will work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Delivery Team to ensure accurate and competitive pricing for projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for engineering projects, including earthworks, roads, drainage, and structures
• Price from first principles to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
• Manage workload effectively to meet tender deadlines
• Price both in-house labour/plant and subcontractor packages
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders during the tendering process
• Maintain and update estimating software and cost databases

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical engineering estimating
• Proven ability to price from first principles
• Strong technical knowledge of projects ranging from £200K to £10M
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Full UK Driving Licence
