Interim Communications Lead
Carbon60 are seeking an experienced Interim Communications Lead to join their client's team within a leading aerospace environment based in Belfast. This position is a contract position for 6 months from start date.
- Belfast - full time onsite requirement
- 35 hours per week - overtime paid at standard rate
- Inside IR35 contract - 6 months from start date
- £34.98p/h Umbrella / £26.15p/h PAYE
Responsibilities:
- Plays a key role in the establishment of Communications "set up" and outputs for the New co in Belfast, bringing local needs into alignment with communications approach in the UK as appropriate.
- Supports the creation of interim and long term internal communications tools and channels to support the on boarding of colleagues
- Works with the project team to define and deliver key messaging and communications materials during the transition phase
- Interacts with wider UK and global communications team - and the public affairs team - to manage consistent messaging to external audiences

- Established experience in communications (internal, external, community relations)
- Experience of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) comms environment, transformation and change
- Good understanding of Northern Ireland as an operating environment
- Comms plan definition and execution
- Strategic thinking while able to act and implement quickly
- Ability to connect easily to different stakeholders across functions and divisions
- Excellent writing skills and content creation skills
- Event management capability
- Understanding of local UK media and ability to engage effectively with them
- Understanding of community relations and ability to engage effectively with a wide range of neighbours.
- Understanding of internal communications channels and ability to effectively engage with colleagues from across the business
The role focuses on establishing and aligning communications for a new entity, ensuring smooth onboarding and transition. It involves creating and delivering key messaging, tools, and channels while maintaining consistency across internal, external, and community audiences. Additionally, the position requires close collaboration with wider communications and public affairs teams to manage stakeholder engagement effectively.
