Transducer Engineer

This role offers the chance to influence the acoustic performance of advanced subsea technologies deployed worldwide.

What you'll do

  • Define and maintain acoustic quality standards for new and existing transducer products
  • Support production teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality manufacturing
  • Validate acoustic performance through the full product lifecycle
  • Shape acoustic requirements during early-stage design and new product introduction
  • Lead investigations into acoustic performance issues and drive corrective actions
  • Develop continuous improvement strategies to enhance acoustic consistency
  • Collaborate with international teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders

What you'll need

  • Experience in underwater acoustics, transducer performance or acoustic quality control
  • Strong understanding of acoustic theory and signal processing
  • Ability to analyse and interpret acoustic test data
  • Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar + 5 years' relevant experience

Desirable

  • Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement
  • Practical prototype assembly or mechanical engineering experience
  • Ability to develop lab tools or software
  • Willingness to travel occasionally internationally
