Mechanical System Installation Design Engineer
Are you a talented Design Engineer with a passion for shaping the future of air travel? Carbon60 is seeking a Mechanical System Installation Design Engineer to join their dynamic client in Filton on a contract until February 2027.
As a Mechanical System Installation Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end design process for this company's commercial aircraft. From conceptual design to modification support and manufacturing, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge fuel systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical System Installation Design Engineer:
- Design and validate fuel system installation components and assemblies, optimising for weight, cost, performance, and production requirements
- Deliver technical solutions in accordance with relevant design methods and procedures
- Collaborate on design concepts to support product development, including real-life installation trials and prototyping
- Manage the introduction of new modifications and provide support to the in-service fleet and wing build-support
Qualifications and Skills:
- Highly proficient in using Catia V5 and design configuration tools such as PASS, DPDS, VPM, ICC/ACP
- Agile and adaptable, with excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset
- Ability to foster a strong wellbeing mindset and work effectively in a multi-national team
