Systems Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join a major, mission‑critical programme. You'll work across customers, suppliers and technical teams to define, model and deliver complex system and system‑of‑systems solutions, with a strong focus on Model‑Based Systems Engineering.

The Role

• Lead systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle.
• Work with stakeholders to define and refine system‑level requirements.
• Model behaviours, scenarios and architectures using MBSE tools.
• Manage requirements and traceability within DOORS.
• Support design development, interface definition and lower‑level system design.
• Produce engineering artefacts such as detailed designs, FMEA, compliance reports and capacity analysis.
• Contribute to architectural definition and trade studies.
• Support technical reviews and documentation for key milestones.

Skills & Experience

• Proficient with modelling tools (e.g., Sparx EA, Cameo/MagicDraw).
• Strong knowledge of SysML and architectural frameworks (MODAF, NAF, TOGAF, ArchiMate).
• Experience in large‑scale or complex integration programmes.
• Skilled in developing system behaviour models and interfaces.
• Understanding of virtualised systems and service‑oriented architectures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders.

Desirable

• ITIL knowledge.
• Experience in safety‑related or regulated environments.
• Strong presentation and documentation ability.
