We're looking for a Material & Production Planner to join our team and play a key role in ensuring materials, production schedules, and inventory all align seamlessly. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven planning experience who's ready to take ownership, drive improvements, and support a busy, fast‑paced operation.
What You'll Be Doing
In this pivotal role, you'll be the engine behind our operational flow, managing data, supporting production teams, and shaping supply chain performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing sales order data, providing commit dates, schedules, and customer acknowledgements.
- Processing production forecasts and recommending new builds.
- Running and analysing MRP, converting planned orders and requisitions into action.
- Analysing inventory across all locations, recommending strategic buys, stock adjustments, and write-offs.
- Maintaining and updating master data within SAP.
- Mentoring junior team members and sharing best practices.
- Supporting supply chain strategy, recommending process improvements and simplifications.
- Actioning engineering change requests and updating BOMs and routings.
- Supporting new product development, ensuring demand is accurately loaded and followed through.
- Scheduling SMT assembly, managing demand, capacity, and output.
- Overseeing weekly contract reviews and supporting the annual physical inventory count.
- Maintaining accurate delivery dates within SAP.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in planning within a low/medium volume, high‑mix manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of modern supply chain methods and best practices.
- Proficiency in SAP, MRP systems, and Excel.
- Confidence working to KPIs and tracking performance.
- Excellent decision‑making, teamwork, and communication skills.
- A logical, methodical approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
