We are seeking a Workshop Engineer to carry out repair, maintenance, and preparation work on a range of materials‑handling and related equipment. This role involves fault diagnosis, repair, documentation, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. We offer training to ensure you are the best engineer you can be!
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and identify required parts
- Carry out repairs, modifications, rental preparation and PDI's
- Complete inspection and defect reports accurately
- Manage and order parts and sub‑contract services when needed
- Maintain accurate records and use company systems/laptop
- Uphold excellent health, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Occasional site visits
- Communicate professionally with internal teams

Person Specification
Suitable for mechanically or electrically biased engineers, including: automotive, HGV, mobile plant, forklift, and ex‑forces engineers.
Ideal candidates will:
- Hold a full driving licence
- Be confident working independently
- Have good literacy, numeracy, and basic IT skills
- Hold an engineering background or relevant apprenticeship/qualification
- (Desirable) Have materials handling experience
