Production Operative

As a Production Operative, you will play an essential role in assembling, testing, and assuring the quality of advanced electrical systems used within defence technology. You will be part of a highly skilled team working on innovative products that support critical national security projects.

Hours of work are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble units and PCBs-including soldering-following detailed Work Instruction Sheets, customer drawings, and specifications
  • Work with a high level of accuracy and quality, with the ability to work to IPC standards
  • Ensure all routings and Work Instruction Sheets are followed correctly throughout all production activities
  • Maintain full compliance with company Health & Safety and Environmental procedures
  • Develop proficiency in relevant assembly methods, production processes, and quality procedures
  • Demonstrate a professional, diligent, and quality‑focused approach to daily tasks

Skills & Attributes

  • Background in electronic assembly, production, or hands‑on manufacturing
  • Ability to work to IPC standards and willingness to undertake training if required
  • Competent soldering skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise technical instructions
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to high manufacturing standards
