Senior Design & Technical Manager
Location: Plumstead * Salary: £85-95k * Permanent
We're looking for an experienced Senior Design & Technical Manager to lead the design and technical function across multiple residential projects. You'll manage early-stage design through to handover, ensuring quality, cost, programme and compliance targets are met
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and manage the Design & Technical team
- Oversee design development from inception to completion, including tender and procurement
- Work closely with Land, Commercial and Construction teams to ensure buildable, cost‑effective solutions
- Manage external consultants and contractors; represent the organisation in external forums
- Control design budgets, risks, H&S and regulatory compliance
About You
- Post‑degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
- CIOB or RIBA accredited or working towards it
- Strong residential construction experience at management level
- Skilled in stakeholder management, contract and risk management, and project coordination
- Proficient in MS Office; good ability with MS Project or Asta.
- CAD/BIM understanding is desirable
