Our client is part of a globally recognised engineering-led group, trusted worldwide for delivering high-performance construction solutions into some of the most complex and safety‑critical environments. With decades of continuous R&D investment, deep technical expertise and a reputation for innovation, our products sit at the heart of modern construction-supporting safer, smarter and more compliant buildings across the globe.

They are looking for someone to own the full lifecycle of their Firestop (cavity barrier) portfolio, leading everything from product development and compliance through to technical specification, engineer engagement and market introduction, both in the UK and internationally. You will operate as a trusted technical authority, working closely with engineers, façade consultants, installers, certification bodies and global colleagues.

This role will involve travel around the M4/M25 area but can be based remotely outside of this. A company car and fuel card is provided as part of the package.

Main Responsibilities

Product Development & Compliance

  • Lead technical development, testing and certification of Firestop products
  • Ensure compliance with relevant BS EN standards, approvals and classifications
  • Maintain and develop robust technical documentation, test evidence and installation guidance

Specification & Engineering Support

  • Provide expert technical input into façade and passive fire protection specifications
  • Deliver advanced engineering support to projects, including site‑based technical input where required
  • Support international markets with product introduction and technical knowledge transfer

Industry & Customer Engagement

  • Act as a senior technical contact for engineers, consultants, façade specialists and specialist installers
  • Deliver technical training, demonstrations, audits and installation reviews
  • Represent the business with credibility across the fire safety and façade engineering community

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work with supply chain teams to align product availability with technical demand
  • Support Marketing with technically accurate content for datasheets, literature and digital platforms

What You'll Bring

  • Degree-level education in fire engineering, construction, civil/mechanical engineering - or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong experience in passive fire protection, ideally cavity barriers, façades or building envelope systems
  • Solid understanding of fire testing, approvals and certification pathways
  • Confidence interpreting and communicating complex technical data and standards
  • Credibility working with senior engineers and construction professionals
  • A practical, site-aware mindset with excellent attention to detail
