Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Multiskilled Bricklayer to work for a leading public body based in Warwickshire

ROLE: Multiskilled Bricklayer

Pay Rates:

PAYE: £16 per hour

LTD: £20 per hour

LOCATION: Warwickshire CV9

JOB TYPE: April - End of September Contract

HOURS: 40 Hours a week

THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking an experienced Multiskilled Bricklayer to join a busy housing maintenance team on a temporary contract.

Working under the direction of a Supervisor or Manager, you will deliver high-quality maintenance services across responsive repairs, void properties, and planned works.

This role requires strong bricklaying skills along with the ability to carry out multi-trade tasks where required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out responsive repairs, void works, and planned maintenance
  • Diagnose repair issues and complete work efficiently to a high standard
  • Manage and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines
  • Attend scheduled appointments and liaise directly with tenants to arrange access
  • Maintain professional communication with tenants, colleagues, and management
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Additional Duties Include:
  • Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, including vehicle upkeep
  • Managing materials and stock on your allocated vehicle
  • Taking responsibility for tools, plant, and equipment
  • Reporting defects or maintenance issues promptly
  • Completing all required paperwork (job sheets, timesheets, materials, etc.)
  • Working in line with health & safety policies and risk assessments
  • Working independently and using initiative to resolve issues
  • Supporting team collaboration and maintaining positive working relationships

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Bricklaying - City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in housing or building maintenance
  • Ability to carry out multi-trade work
  • Strong understanding of repair diagnostics and maintenance tasks
  • Knowledge of materials and work scheduling
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Reliable and self-motivated individual
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude
  • Someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
  • A professional who can interact positively with tenants and the public
