Job Title: Technical Sales Executive
Location: Scotland - Falkirk
Package: Good base salary plus £500 per month car allowance + 17.5% bonus
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Executive to drive business growth across Scotland. This role blends new business development with the management of established customer accounts, focusing on technical and hazardous waste solutions. You will play a key role in expanding market presence, delivering tailored solutions, and contributing to the future sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure new business opportunities across Scotland to ensure regional growth targets are met
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts within the region
- Identify and pursue opportunities within key Scottish industries, offering technically sound waste solutions
- Support the development and implementation of the company's future sales strategy
- Lead and manage tender processes for prospective new customers, from opportunity identification through to submission
- Communicate, manage, and implement cost increases with customers in a professional and transparent manner
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal coordinators
- Act as the primary commercial contact for customers, ensuring excellent service delivery
- Proactively manage and resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Proven sales experience within the waste management industry, ideally including hazardous waste
- Strong technical understanding of waste streams and associated regulatory requirements
- Extensive knowledge of key industries in Scotland and the waste they generate
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
- Commercially astute, target‑driven, and self‑motivated
- Full, clean UK driving licence
Desirable
- A‑Level in Chemistry or another science‑based subject (or equivalent technical qualification)
