Carbon60 is looking to recruit an Electrician (Engineering & Surveying) to work for our client based in Coalville, UK.

ROLE: Electrician (Engineering & Surveying)

PAY RATE: £ 24.35 per hour PAYE / £ 30.31 per hour Umbrella

JOB TYPE: 12 Week Contract

LOCATION: Coalville, UK (LE67)

HOURS: 37 hours per week - 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM

THE ROLE:
Main duties & responsibilities:

• Undertake all electrical works to the required standard and in accordance with current regulations.
• Perform diagnostic fault finding and repairs on domestic electrical installations.
• Complete allocated jobs within agreed timescales and quality standards.
• Carry out work surveys to identify materials, labour, and repair requirements.
• Maintain vehicle stock levels to support a right first-time service approach.
• Use tools, equipment, and materials safely and responsibly.
• Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law and address HHSRS failures where identified.
• Keep accurate digital records of work completed, materials used, and time spent.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, reporting hazards, incidents, or near misses.
• Deliver excellent customer service and promote continuous improvement.

Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

• Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical certification (NVQ / City & Guilds / equivalent).
• Previous experience in domestic maintenance, repairs, and fault finding.
• Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Experience working within housing, repairs, or property maintenance environments.
• Ability to use PDA / smartphone systems for job management and reporting.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Own suitable vehicle to carry tools and equipment.
• Valid business insurance.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
