Electrician (Engineering & Surveying)

Carbon60 is looking to recruit an Electrician (Engineering & Surveying) to work for our client based in Coalville, UK.

ROLE: Electrician (Engineering & Surveying)

PAY RATE: £ 24.35 per hour PAYE / £ 30.31 per hour Umbrella

JOB TYPE: 12 Week Contract

LOCATION: Coalville, UK (LE67)

HOURS: 37 hours per week - 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM


THE ROLE:
Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, installations, testing, and inspections.
  • Diagnose faults on a range of domestic electrical installations.
  • Complete allocated works to quality standards and agreed timescales.
  • Carry out surveys to identify labour, repairs, and materials required.
  • Record job progress, time, SORs, and materials using PDA / smartphone systems.
  • Maintain vehicle stock levels to support a right first-time service.
  • Use all tools, equipment, and accessories safely and correctly.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Address HHSRS failures and support compliance with Awaab's Law.
  • Report hazards, accidents, and near misses immediately.
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused service at all times.


Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

  • Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical trade certificates (NVQ / City & Guilds / equivalent).
  • Previous experience in domestic repairs, maintenance, testing, and fault finding.
  • Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and safety standards.
  • Experience working in housing, repairs, maintenance, or social housing environments.
  • Ability to use PDA / smartphone devices for job management and reporting.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Own suitable vehicle to carry tools and equipment.
  • Valid business insurance.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Must complete COSHH, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, and Asbestos training before start date.
