Carbon60 is looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to support One of the Medical Facility client based in Glasgow.

PAY RATE: £20/ Per Hour
CONTRACT TYPE: 3 Months

THE ROLE
Working within a live healthcare environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and continuous operation of electrical infrastructure, plant, equipment, and associated building systems while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery..
The role requires a qualified and experienced Electrical Technician to join a facilities maintenance team supporting healthcare environments across multiple secure and operational sites. The role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, fault finding, and minor installation works on a wide range of electrical systems and building services equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform planned and emergency electrical maintenance on building systems, equipment, and critical infrastructure, including fault finding, repairs, testing, and minor installations.
- Support maintenance of generators, fire alarms, emergency lighting, AHUs, water, pressure, and medical gas systems while participating in preventative maintenance programmes to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and assist with small projects, ensuring all work follows safety procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work safely in healthcare and specialist clinical environments while coordinating professionally with stakeholders, contractors, and team members.
- Also support 24/7 on-call coverage, maintain clean work areas, and travel to other sites when required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship with at least 2 years of electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding, and planned preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work safely under compliance procedures, including permits-to-work, risk assessments, and health & safety regulations.
- Good communication, teamwork, and flexibility for overtime, shifts, and call-out duties.
DESIRED:
- Experience in healthcare or other critical environment facilities maintenance.
- Knowledge of HVAC, emergency systems, water systems, and relevant compliance standards such as SHTM requirements.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience or willingness to train as an Appointed Person (Low Voltage).
