Multi Skilled Engineer

Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer to work for our specialised industrial client based in Maidstone, UK.

ROLE: Multi Skilled Engineer

PAY RATE: £ 22.00 PAYE

JOB TYPE: 3 Months contract

LOCATION: Maidstone, UK (ME16)

HOURS: 40.00 hours per week - 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM

THE ROLE:
Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and building fabric assets.
  • Diagnose, fault find, and repair electrical faults and defects across multiple sites.
  • Complete maintenance tasks such as replacing electrical components, locks, and general site repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance records, CAFM updates, permits, risk assessments, and paperwork are completed accurately.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with regulations and KPIs.
  • Support emergency maintenance situations to ensure operational continuity across sites.
  • Travel between sites including Maidstone, Hastings, and other Kent locations as required.


Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence and own transport.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent qualification such as City & Guilds Technical Certificate in Electrical.
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Previous experience working in a similar multi-skilled or electrical maintenance role.
  • Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance experience.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • IPAF certification (desirable).
  • PLASMA certification (desirable).
