Electrician

Carbon60 is looking to recruit an Electrician to work for client based in London, UK.

ROLE: Electrician - Grade E (Facilities Management)

PAY RATE: £21.52 PAYE per hour or £27.36 per hour Umbrella

JOB TYPE: 3 Months contract

LOCATION: London, UK (W8)

HOURS: 36.00 hours per week - 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM

THE ROLE:
Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance works within council and social housing properties.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Undertake minor installation, testing, and remedial works as required.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with current health & safety regulations and electrical standards.
  • Use PDA devices to manage, update, and close jobs accurately.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and job reports.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, residents, and site representatives.
  • Work across multiple locations using a company van provided.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.


Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

  • Recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
  • Previous experience carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault finding.
  • Experience using PDA systems for managing work orders and reporting.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Must provide own hand tools.
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Previous Social Housing, Council, or Facilities Management experience desirable.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification desirable.
  • Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) desirable.
  • Experience working within occupied residential properties desirable.
