Carbon60 is looking to recruit an experienced and organised Quality Coordinator to support departmental operations within a textile manufacturing and laboratory environment based at Keighley, West Yorkshire.
ROLE: Quality Coordinator
PAY RATE: £13.5 PAYE
CONTRACT: 5 Months (Possibilities of Extension)
LOCATION : Keighley, West Yorkshire
THE ROLE:
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to support the day-to-day administration and coordination of activities across the textile testing laboratory, inspection function, colour centre, and sustainability operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance standards, supporting technical and operational initiatives, coordinating departmental activities, and ensuring efficient workflow across multiple functions within the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage administrative functions across laboratory, inspection, colour centre, and sustainability-related activities
- Coordinate departmental activities to support smooth and efficient daily operations
- Maintain and govern standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, and quality documentation
- Support compliance with GOTS and UKAS certification requirements, including audit preparation and document control
- Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) via Ariba, including tracking of non-stock orders
- Monitor consumables inventory, subscriptions, memberships, and renewal schedules
- Coordinate calibration schedules, equipment maintenance plans, and external audit timelines
- Support technical development projects and track progress against agreed timelines
- Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and track follow-up actions
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication
- Provide general administrative and operational support across departmental projects
- Promote Health & Safety standards and maintain good housekeeping practices
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company policies, procedures, and values
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience within an administrative or coordination role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly with documentation and compliance processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Basic understanding of quality, laboratory, or manufacturing environments
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within textile, laboratory, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with quality management systems and certification standards such as UKAS and GOTS
- Previous experience using procurement systems such as Ariba
- Knowledge of inventory management and audit processes
- Awareness of sustainability practices within manufacturing operations
