Carbon60 is looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Electrician to support maintenance operations across a portfolio of sites throughout the Midlands region.
ROLE: Mobile Electrician
LOCATION : Coleshill, Midlands (Mobile Role)
PAY RATE: £18.12 PAYE
CONTRACT: Initial contract until 21st August (Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
HOURS: 40 Hours per Week
THE ROLE:
We are currently seeking a qualified Mobile Electrician to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works across multiple commercial and public-sector sites throughout the Midlands. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel between sites and offers an excellent opportunity for a reliable electrician looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems, diagnosing faults, completing repairs, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment
- Respond to and complete reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timeframes
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical installations where required
- Ensure compliance with current health & safety regulations and site procedures
- Complete maintenance reports and job documentation accurately
- Liaise with site representatives and management regarding ongoing works and repairs
- Identify potential issues and recommend remedial actions where necessary
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service across all sites
- Travel between multiple locations throughout the Midlands region as required
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in electrical maintenance, facilities management, or building services environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of electrical safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites
- Own vehicle available for use initially (business mileage reimbursed)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable Skills:
- Fully Approved Electrician status
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- AM2 qualification
- Experience within a mobile maintenance role
- Knowledge of commercial building services and facilities management environments
- Experience working across multiple client sites
