Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Tiler to work for our specialised industrial client based in Oldham, UK.

ROLE: Tiler

PAY RATE: £ 26.00 per hour Umbrella OR CIS

JOB TYPE: 3 Month contract - Possibilities of extension

LOCATION: Oldham, UK (OL9)

HOURS: 37.50 hours per week - Monday to Friday

THE ROLE:
Main duties & responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and replace wall and floor tiles in residential properties.
• Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles and ensuring substrates are suitable for tiling.
• Measure, cut, and fit tiles accurately to specifications.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and refurbishment tiling works.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, colleagues, and site teams.
• Adhere to company health, safety, and compliance procedures.
• Complete required job records and documentation accurately.
• Use the company van responsibly for business-related travel.

Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 in Wall and Floor Tiling.
• Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
• Valid Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
• Basic DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous experience carrying out wall and floor tiling works.
• Strong knowledge of tiling tools, materials, and installation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Social housing experience is highly desirable.
