Carbon60 is looking to recruit an experienced Plasterer to support repairs and maintenance works across residential and commercial properties in the Oldham area.

£26.00 Umbrella (CIS Available)
CONTRACT
: contract 3 Months (Potential extentension)

HOURS: 37.5 Hours per Week

THE ROLE:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Plasterer to carry out a variety of repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works across residential and commercial properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a reliable tradesperson with strong plastering expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of plastering, damp remediation works, plasterboard repairs, and rendering, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out all aspects of plastering including bonding, browning, skimming, and finishing works
  • Prepare surfaces through hacking off and making good prior to plaster application
  • Repair and replace plasterboard to walls and ceilings
  • Complete patch repairs to holes, cracks, and damaged surfaces
  • Carry out internal and external rendering works
  • Undertake lime plastering and damp remediation works where required
  • Install and repair Damp Proof Course (DPC) systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with specifications and quality standards
  • Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and stakeholders
  • Achieve first-time fixes wherever possible
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition
  • Ensure work areas are left clean, safe, and tidy upon completion
  • Complete job documentation accurately and within required timescales
  • Liaise effectively with clients, site teams, and management
  • Comply with all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plastering Applications
  • Asbestos Awareness Certificate
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven experience within domestic and commercial plastering environments
  • Strong knowledge of plastering materials, techniques, and finishing methods
  • Experience carrying out repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Experience within social housing repairs and maintenance contracts
  • Knowledge of damp proofing systems and remedial treatments
  • Multi-trade maintenance experience
  • Additional Health & Safety certifications
  • Experience using mobile job management and reporting systems
  • Experience working in occupied residential properties
