Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Handyperson to work for our client based in London, UK.

ROLE: Handyperson

PAY RATE: £ 18.30 PAYE or £23.23 Umbrella

JOB TYPE: 3 Months contract

LOCATION: London, UK (W8)

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

THE ROLE:
Main duties & responsibilities:

• Carry out general handyman and maintenance tasks within residential properties following major works projects.
• Complete snagging, finishing, and making-good works such as minor carpentry, patch repairs, fixing fittings, adjusting doors, and basic repairs.
• Assist in preparing homes for resident occupation by ensuring all outstanding defects and minor issues are resolved.
• Use a PDA to receive, manage, and update work orders and job completion records.
• Travel between properties using the supplied company van and fuel card.
• Work alongside the Capital Works Team, contractors, and site personnel to ensure works are completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and customer service when working in occupied or void properties.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and correctly use supplied PPE and equipment.

Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Handyperson, Multi-Trader, Maintenance Operative, or similar role within residential or social housing environments.
• Ability to carry out a range of general repair, maintenance, and snagging tasks.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Full UK driving licence (company van provided).
• Ability to use a PDA or mobile device for managing work orders and reporting.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work professionally within residents' homes.
