Job Title: Senior Project Manager - PV (Solar Energy)
Location: Bucharest, Romania (On-site)
Job Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (DOE)

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a growing international renewable energy business for a Senior Project Manager to lead solar (PV) projects in Romania. This is a genuine end-to-end ownership role: you'll take projects from early-stage planning through engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), all the way to commercial operation date (COD).
This role suits an experienced, self-driven Project Manager who doesn't wait to be told what's next - someone who anticipates issues, takes initiative, and owns outcomes rather than just tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex PV projects from planning through to COD, with full accountability for delivery
  • Take ownership of project timelines, budgets, resourcing and risk management - proactively identifying and mitigating issues before they escalate
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, EPC contractors, local authorities and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth communication across all parties
  • Continuously look for ways to improve project efficiency and embed industry best practice

What We're Looking For

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering (essential)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager within the PV/solar sector (essential)
  • Experience with Wind Energy and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is a strong advantage
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, grid connections, and relevant local energy regulations
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • Full Romanian / EU Working Rights
  • Fluent/professional-level English

What's on Offer

  • Permanent role with a genuinely international, fast-moving business at the forefront of the renewable energy transition
  • High-impact position with real autonomy and visibility
  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
