Bid Project Manager

Salary: Competitive + Performance Bonus, Car Allowance & Pension
Location: London
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with flexibility on working hours

The Opportunity

An established environmental services organisation is seeking an experienced Bid Project Manager to join its Public Sector Business Development team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in securing major public sector contracts and supporting the continued growth of a market-leading business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review client requirements, tender documentation and bid deliverables.
  • Work with business development and technical teams to develop commercial, legal and operational solutions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure robust and competitive bid submissions.
  • Manage the end-to-end tender process, ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
  • Produce high-quality method statements and supporting bid documentation.
  • Prepare client presentations and attend tender clarification meetings.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement throughout the procurement process.
  • Lead specific workstreams within larger bid projects.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and consistency across all bid submissions.
  • Provide additional project management and bid support as required.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous bid management, bid coordination or business development experience.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills and proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Experience working on public sector tenders.
  • Familiarity with collaborative online working platforms.
