Carbon60 are proud to announce four shortlistings at this year’s British Forces in Business Awards, with the winners to be announced at the end of June 

The British Forces in Business Awards recognise individuals that have made a successful transition from the Armed Forces or reservists that balance their work with the military with their full-time careersThey also recognise organisations going above and beyond ensuring veterans and reservists can have meaningful careers with the support they need. 

Tom BroughSenior Maritime Operations Officer at Carbon60, has been shortlisted for the Rising Star award. He joined the Royal Navy in 2016 and served for 9 years. In the 10 months since leaving the navy, Tom Brough has made an exceptional impact working within Carbon60’s UKMTO Ops Centre, providing mariners, shipping companies, and regional authorities with essential, verified and corroborated security information. 

Christopher BrownMDA Systems Account Administrator at Carbon60, has been shortlisted for the Team Leader award. He completed a distinguished 22-year career in the Royal Navy before leaving the Service. Over the past 18 months, he has been the heartbeat of Carbon60’s Royal Navy Maritime Domain Awareness (RNMDA) Training team, supporting his colleagues through constant change and delivering improvements that have made a genuine impact on the UK’s maritime security.   

Carbon60 has also been shortlisted as Advocate of the Year and Employer of the Year, highlighting its commitment as an organisation to supporting ex-military personnel and reservists in the workplace.
